| Slow-motion performances
In 1999 /2000, I work essentially on short performances which are staged,
where cinematographic slow motion predominates over the theatricality of
the staging. |

This kind of conjuring act aims to get the spectator to switch between looking at reality and at the projection of reality. This means coming up against normally immutable notions such as time, gravity, chance. Some of my works therefore become very complex to implement (a computer and a machine control, with nylons, the gradual slowing down of the coin in space...), whilst others use very simple processes : the performance "Tidying-up" use very light copy of boxes to produce the slow-motion. |
