In 1999 /2000, I work essentially on short performances which are staged, where cinematographic slow motion predominates over the theatricality of the staging.
The gradual slowing down of the movements of a coin during several heads or tails until the coin stops completely in space (Performance "Double face" - "Two-faced" 1999 -2000 / 6 minutes). Or the gradual slowing down of the movement of the boxes during a house move (Performance "Ordonner" - "Tidying Up" 2000 / 5 minutes).

This kind of conjuring act aims to get the spectator to switch between looking at reality and at the projection of reality. This means coming up against normally immutable notions such as time, gravity, chance. Some of my works therefore become very complex to implement (a computer and a machine control, with nylons, the gradual slowing down of the coin in space...), whilst others use very simple processes : the performance "Tidying-up" use very light copy of boxes to produce the slow-motion.
